Come to my home kitchen and learn how to make two types of Baklava. It’s a small-group, hands-on workshop. Enjoy sampling some together and take home two trays full of your beautiful handmade baklava to show off to your friends!
Welcome drink (tea/coffee etc) and introduction.
We will make Turkish style rolled baklava and Syrian style layered baklava using a selection of walnuts, pistachios and hazelnuts or cashew nuts. First we will make the syrups, flavouring them with rose, orange flower or cinnamon.
During a break there will be fresh mint tea whilst you enjoy some pre-prepared baklava and homemade biscuits.
You will take home your 2 trays of finished baklava (approx 40 pieces), it’s best eaten after 24hours. Perfect for sharing or gifting, it also keeps well in the fridge.
And there’s a take-home gift of your own baklava-rolling rod to keep, so you can make it again at home!
