Wrap up warm and head for the woods for an intimate evening round the fire with The Salt Box, at our first Woodland Chef’s Table event.
Take a seat around our outdoor kitchen and enjoy a seasonal six-course menu, featuring our signature favourites, which we’ll cook up in front of you in our woodland glen. We’re calling it ‘nature’s table’…
Autumn is well and truly upon us and founder and chef Christian will draw on the very best that nature’s larder has to offer. You can expect wild game, ingredients foraged from the beautiful surroundings from the Priory Farm Estate and wild cocktails conjured up by fellow founder Beckie! As Christian cooks up a seasonal storm, he will talk to you about the provenance of his ingredients and the cooking methods he uses to showcase them at their best. We’ll keep the dining group small so that everyone has a chance to engage and hopefully spark a lively discussion around the flames.
If you’ve joined us for a feast over fire before, you’ll know that our focus is very much on inspiring our guests to try something new and equipping them with the skills to do so. With our Woodland Chef’s Table, we hope to take things a step further and not only provide you with a seasonal feast, but share our fireside secrets and answering all your burning questions (excuse the pun!).
So don your winter warmers and head to the woods for an afternoon of thoughtful, sustainable open-fire cookery with delectable nibbles, laughter and good cheer as we celebrate the very finest of seasonal British food in the great outdoors at our Autumn Chef’s Table.

Instructions on how to find us and where to park, will be sent to you 72 hours prior to the event via email.
As with all our supper clubs, you’ll be seated with fellow diners on sharing tables. Don’t worry, we’ll make sure you’re with all your pals, and you might even leave with some new ones! To encourage conviviality, our dishes are designed for sharing between four guests (unless otherwise advised).
We have limited capability to cater for dietary requirements without advance warning, due to the set menu nature of the event. Please let us know about anything relevant prior to booking your tickets, a minimum of 72 hours prior to the event.
We are a casual dining experience, there is no dress code. Many of our events take place in the woods, therefore we always advise on wearing suitable footwear. Whilst we always hope for pleasant conditions we recommend that you also bring a warm and waterproof layer.
The event will take place in the great outdoors, unless severe weather is due, where we reserve the right to make an informed decision. We have a woodland shelter to keep us dry! Find out more about how we tackle the weather in our FAQs.

The whole event was amazing. I loved every minute. The hosts were fabulous. I had an amazing day. I have since made pasta at home and one of the sauces. Can't rate it high enough. I have told everyone to take a look.
