I was born into a large family in Torre del Greco, Napoli in the south of Italy. The food we ate was very traditional – simple recipes based on fresh and healthy fruit, vegetables, fish and meat. My grandfather said that a good recipe doesn’t need lots and lots of ingredients because if the ingredients are top quality and full of flavour, why would you want to cover up or change their taste? A good point, well-made – and it’s a philosophy I’ve stuck to since I first started in the kitchen. Gino at the polo!

Gino was friendly and considerate to ensure that each group had some of his time.He appeared very genuine to each person. Tables were a bit cramped especially for those sat in the middle of the table making it hard to get out.

This event was so much fun! Gino made time to speak to everyone, and was happy for photo opportunities. The food was very tasty, and the portion size was just right. The venue was lovely albeit a bit tight for the number of people, but it was cosy and I met some lovely people on my table. All in all a very enjoyable afternoon!

Had an amazing evening, was nice chatting to new people, lovely atmosphere, was a little disappointed Gino didn't stay a bit longer but was lovely to see him would definitely recommend Gino and his restaurants

It was one of the best events I’ve been to in years - and I go out a lot !! Gino was brilliant - he spent so much time with us - food was exceptional and value for money phenomenal !! He made a fuss of my hubby as it was his birthday- sending him a cake and a signed cookbook- can’t wait for our next event

It was a fantastic evening, Gino was friendly, made an effort to speak to the guests at all the tables, also he had time to have photos taken with guests, I highly recommend Gino as a host - absolutely FANTASTICO ?? - food was amazing, service great. Fantastic evening, and met some really lovely people .. if another event is held here, I would 100% attend.. cannot recommend enough - would urge anyone to go to an event, you won't be disappointed.. 10/10 ??
