Come to my home kitchen and learn how to make two types of Baklava. Enjoy sampling some together and take home a dish full of your beautiful handmade baklava.
Welcome drink served
We will make Turkish style and Syrian style baklava with a selection of walnut, cashew and pistachio. This includes making syrups and flavouring them with rose, orange flower and cinnamon.
I will serve fresh mint tea and Turkish coffee whilst we taste some baklava and biscuits.
You will take home at least 40 pieces of baklava each. Perfect for sharing or gifting, it also keeps well in the fridge.
Special gift - your own baklava-rolling rod to keep so you can make it again at home.

Amani and husband Andy were great hosts making you feel welcome and relaxed (this was my first such event so warm welcome was appreciated and helped set the tone for the evening). The food was very good and Amani was able to explain details of the dish and culture of Sudan. One of the traditions of Sudan is to ensure guests are welcomed and offered plenty of food which Amani certainly delivered on. I would definitely attend another event.
