For those of you who enjoy hosting a bbq and would like to learn to prepare some traditional Indian starters, dips and tandoor naan bread , I am hosting an Indian Inspired BBQ & Tandoor class on Saturday, 10 July from 10 am to 1 pm.
The class will also be a great introduction to TANDOOR clay oven cooking. Using a traditional tandoor clay oven, you will learn to prepare some delicious tandoori tikkas and tandoori naan breads from scratch! These are small group classes.
You will learn to prepare and cook on the bbq & Tandoor oven the following starters from scratch:
Traditional vegetarian paneer tikkas (a great option for the vegetarians, these are made with Indian cottage cheese, marinated in special spice blend along with peppers and onions)
Succulent non vegetarian chicken starters using a special almond cashew and yogurt marinade with fresh spices
Lamb mince kebabs with mashed potatoes and fresh herbs, marinated in a rich and delicious Indian blend of spices
Accompaniments such as home made tandoori naan bread, fresh coriander and mint chutney, different yogurt flavoured dips
All the ingredients and aprons are provided. You will receive detailed recipe cards of the dishes and accompaniments prepared so you won’t need to take any notes. You will be able to taste the food as you go along and will have the option to pack everything to take back home to enjoy with your loved ones.
The food is prepared using quality ingredients. The meat is sourced from the local village butcher. Most of the spices are home roasted and ground. We use fresh ginger and garlic paste. The food is prepared in olive oil. The end product is healthy, honest, homemade Indian food.
