Join us to celebrate the launch of Knepp Wild Range - our organic, conservation-grade, pasture-fed produce from the renowned rewilding project at Knepp Estate.
Charlie and Issy welcome you to their table to enjoy a tasting menu of old English Longhorn beef and [red deer/fallow] venison and to hear about their pioneering nature restoration project and the vital role of these free-roaming herbivores.
Prepared by celebrated chef Archie Clark of the Kochi Kitchen, the food will highlight the exceptional quality of the estate produce in new and exciting ways.
The estate Longhorn is hung on the bone for 35 days, the fallow and red deer for 7 days. The estate use every available cut, wasting nothing, a full nose-to-tail approach.
- Pulled venison pots
- Venison loin served with celeriac & cumin purée
- Old English Longhorn oxtail, kale herb butter roast carrot,
crispy fried shallot
- Cinnamon & ginger poached pear, creme fraiche, oat crumble
Menu will be served on one long sharing table, and it's BYO.

Lovely evening, we were a little cold, helped greatly by the blankets and hand warmers . Delicious food, and plenty of it , we will definitely be booking again

Fabulous food, couldn’t fault anything that was put on the table, it was absolutely delicious. A couple of things that could’ve improved the experience rather than a criticism: I would’ve preferred a bowl rather than a plate for the starters of dahl and cauliflower, which was difficult to eat on a plate. And I would’ve also loved some rice and or warm bread to accompany the dishes, all of which were stunning. The setting was exquisite but the cold was almost unbearable towards the end of the evening even with hand warmers! A hot drink of some kind would’ve be wonderful at the end. A great evening with wonderful food in a fabulous setting! I would definitely repeat it but would prefer it to be held either in warmer weather or to be heated somehow. Archie was fabulous!

Very disappointed as there was such a lack of food and the hour long wait for food when it was so cold, a few hot nibbles would have been very much appreciated. The venue was perfect in the summer but more effort needs to be made if this is going to be a regular winter event.
