Event Information

Ian Whiteley was born in Wakefield but lives in Wigan. In 2013 he published his first collection of poetry, ‘A Step Towards Winter’ and was awarded the title of 'Black Horse Poet Of The Year' in 2015. Ian is coming along to Darwen to eat, read, chat, he covers a wide range of topics in his work and writes in a variety of styles ranging from spiritual to political, comedy, war poems, historical and supernatural (all the things you really shouldn't discuss at a supper club!)

Tonight I'll do one hot main each and then there will be lots of roasted potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, roasted vegetables and gravy to pass around and share. Please choose from either of the options, there will be lots (no one ever leaves here hungry).

1. Roast chicken please

2. Cauliflower wellington with mushroom stuffing

3. Aubergine stuffed with rice

For pudding there will be something hot with custard, meringues

Coffee, mints etc etc.
