Event Information

To celebrate the rich history of Accrington and the location of the Octagon, tonight we have dinning with us NICK BURTON who is passionate about walking and has an extensive knowledge of the history and geography of Northern England’s fabulous countryside. He is also an author of several walking books, has a regular slot on Radio Lancashire and local newspapers where he waffles on about…yes, you’ve guessed it…walking!

There will be a warm buffet with a wide selection of at least 15 dishes including
roasted salmon, chicken, Madagascan king prawns and for vegetarians a souk spiced root vegetable dish with roasted halloumi and crumbled feta.
All served with heaps of interesting salads - I promise you won't go hungry!

Mrs Dowsons Ice cream - now you can have this plain, you can have it with a selection of hot and cold sauces, you can pimp it to your hearts content with sprinkles or you can be posh and have it Affogato which is fresh hot espresso coffee poured over vanilla ice-cream.

There will be cake of some description to be confirmed.

If anyone can find the space there is some Lancashire cheeses served with grapes, figs, walnuts and a selection of biscuits.

Selection of tea and coffee served with a variety of after dinner mints.

Hi Maria, rather than post it on here where it isn't particularly private I will send WeFiFo directions which they will pass on to you via email. I was waiting till Monday so that I can get a weather report for Wednesday to let you know whether to wrap up for eating outside!! I will also include my mobile number just in case.
