As with all my Supper Club events you’ll be seated with fellow diners on sharing tables and enjoy shared platters, please don't expect a romantic private table for two - you'll be on a "date" with 20 other people!

I love the flavours of Middle Eastern cuisine, far more than just ‘the land of milk and honey’, the region is rich in oils, spices, fruits and flowers. Tahini, cumin, turmeric, coriander and Ras el Hanout are some of the treasure box of ingredients in tonight's dishes.

Let's begin the evening with sharing platters of mezze starters served with a selection of bread.

Homemade, silky, loaded hummus with roasted chickpeas and caramelised onions - in Egypt this dish is served as a poor man's breakfast, it's healthy, packed with flavour and delicious.

Slow roasted tomatoes with a yogurt dressing - roasting does something magical to tomatoes, they take on an intense deep flavour, sprinkled with sea salt and olive oil and served with plenty of bread to dunk.

Tabbouleh - This Levantine salad is served widely through the Middle East, packed full of flavour these simple ingredients carefully put together make this dish sing (I make mine with couscous).

Avocado and pea dip with mint - simple, fresh, creamy and vibrant this dish is one of the many reasons I love travelling.

Chicken marinated with pomegranate molasses and bulgar wheat with a yogurt and pomegranate seed dressing.

OR

Roasted aubergine and bulgar wheat with a yogurt and pomegranate seed dressing.

.. and relax, for pudding we have

Cardamom and rose infused rice pudding served with orange slices marinated in an orange blossom syrup - I know this sounds a bit odd but everyone I have made this for falls in love with it (even people who don't like rice pudding!)
