Join me for a unique Supper Club at the fantastic recently restored beautiful Palace Cinema in Longridge. We eat first then bob downstairs to the cinema to the tradition of the national anthem before watching 1917, a fantastic epic drama directed by Sam Mendes and starring Benedict Cumberbatch. The price of the event includes cinema tickets. Dinner is served at 17.00 with a film start of 18.30 with coffee and a chat after the film.
Please note; a fully stocked bar will be open for you to purchase drinks from, ticket price includes meal and cinema tickets. Please choose from one of the hot main courses.
Let's begin the evening with sharing platters of mezze starters served with a selection of bread to tear and share. Homemade, silky, hummus - in Egypt this dish is served as a poor man's breakfast, it's healthy, packed with flavour and delicious (shop bought hummus will never be the same again).
Labneh - a middle eastern homemade soft cheese, we are serving this with olives, pomegranate seeds and basil oil.
Vegatable Pahi - Middle East meets Asia via pickled vegetables. Slow roasted tomato served with sea salt and Yogurt.
Baba Ganoush - I have a secret ambition to get you to eat more aubergine and this is step one!
Tabbouleh - This Levantine salad is served widely through the Middle East, packed full of flavour these simple ingredients carefully put together make this dish sing (I make mine with couscous).
For the main course please choose either;
Turmeric and lemon roasted salmon - Turmeric is a spice that has been used to flavour food for thousands of years, paired with lemon this marinade lifts the salmon leaving it moist and succulent. This, quite by accident has turned into one of my signature dishes.
OR
Roasted chicken with a tahini jus - tahini goes so well with chicken.
OR
Roasted aubergine stuffed with rice, another one of my absolute favourite dishes.
Served with rice and vegetables. ..
and relax,
For pudding we have Cardamom and rose infused rice pudding served with orange slices marinated in an orange blossom syrup.
Meringue kisses (we always have meringue)
