At Food Sorcery we are lucky to work with Jason Palin who has cooked in more that 40 countries around the world, pasta is another of his well honed skills and the beetroot pasta is something to behold!
Fresh pasta is a delight, and learning to make it is a life skill that stays with you. During this workshop, we look at all things pasta - from mixing and kneading pasta dough, beetroot infused and standard egg pasta, various rolling techniques, filling, shaping and chef will demonstrate some sauces. It's a lovely evening, plenty to eat and also to take home!
Sophia Loren once said ‘Everything you see I owe to Spaghetti.’ Whilst we can’t promise you a glittering career in Hollywood after our pasta course, we can promise that you will learn how to make Italy’s staple food by hand and using some traditional kit. Our Chef will show you how to mix, knead, bash, squash and shape the dough into several of the most popular varieties – spaghetti, farfalle and ravioli.
During the evening there will be the opportunity to eat some of your creations, complemented with the chef's creativity!
You will also learn some simple sauces & fillings to compliment your creations

This looks great. Will you be using different types of flour for the pasta? Thanks.
Hi, we've tended to use just one type of flour and concentrated on adding flavour to it such as adding beetroot, however if you'd like us to amend the ingredients to show different flours then let us know and we can arrange it. Thanks
We use a tipo 00 - very fine grade for the pasta course, however chef will talk to you about the other options. You can make perfectly good pasta with normal plain flour, you can experiment with the flour like walnut flour. Let me know if you have any further questions.
Hi Tanya - this course is being moved to August 23rd, sorry for the inconvenience!

Unfortunately the course didn't go ahead but the team were helpful and did everything they could to rectify this. I look forward to attending something in the future.
