Come and join me, in your own home, to enjoy a Penang-Style Hainanese Chicken Rice Meal. The meal is home cooked and ready for collection for you to enjoy with your family, just like we do at home. As a family we enjoy this meal very much. The food here is what I feed my family. I am not a professional chef. I just love cooking and sharing my food.
Penang is famous for its food and Hainanese Chicken Rice is one of the most well known.
Penang Hainanese Chicken Rice is a celebrated meal. Loved by most Malaysians.
We serve our meals with all the dishes on the table and guests help themselves.
So I am not sure if you call this a 3 course dinner? Or, maybe 4?
Roast Chicken
(Chicken, Oriental spices, )
Soup
– a consomme type of chicken soup with tofu (soy) or surimi sticks (seafood sticks),
depends on what I can get in the supermarket
(soy, gluten, celery, )
Blanched Seasonal Vegetables
( vegetables, gluten, celery, onions, garlic, sesame pepper)
Flavoured Jasmine Rice
Chocolate Cake
(flour (gluten), sugar, cocoa, vanilla, vegetable fat, dairy free )
Accompaniments: dipping sauce, chili sauce, garnishing, etc.
(ginger, garlic, chillies, pepper)
How to enjoy
Use a fork and spoon with the meal.
Drizzle the sauces onto the rice or the chicken. You will get the full flavour when you eat the rice
with the condiments and the chilli sauce.
The chili sauce is not hot (according to my standard).
Place some rice on the spoon together with some chicken and sauces and the garnishing.
Then eat it. Enjoy!
Don’t forget the vegetables
Allergy Info
This meal contains soy, gluten, sesame, garlic, onions. This kitchen handles nuts and sesame.
I like to be as flexible as I can. The chicken itself is gluten-free. The soy sauce contains gluten. I have found a gluten free replacement.
I have gluten-free options for the cake, too.
If you have any other dietary requirements, do let me know before ordering and I will see what I can do.
I am putting as many precautions in place as possible. Please do not come out if you have any Covid-19 symptoms. I’ll be watching out for you so when you get near to here, give me a ring and park in front of the house or near the house and stay in your car. I will come out and put the pre-packed meals on the back seat or in the boot.

This was our first supper with WeFiFo and Loretta made us very welcome. We were a group of three friends. Loretta cooked a delicious three course Malaysian meal and taught us the correct way to use chopsticks for the noodles. The main course was Lorbak; a pork dish and family favourite that Loretta had learned to cook as a child with her mother. Loretta joined us at the table and told us many stories about food and life in Malaysia. She is a witty host and a first class cook. In summary- a super evening, well worth the money, making new friends over superb food.

This was our first event and the Host made us most welcome (we were a bit early at their house) and the other 4 guests (that we did not know at all) were a good bunch as we had Great food and good conversation at the table. There was plenty of food and the Soup was Superb (best ever) and the Desert idea was novel and tasty.

Loretta was a lovely and very good host and I was made to feel very welcome. Each course of the Afternoon Tea was explained in detail with the ingredients content and how it was prepared/cooked, everything was tasty and new to my taste buds. A lovely introduction to Malaysian cuisine. Thank-you Loretta & hope to see you again soon.
