A knife is only as good as your sharpening skills. We'll teach you to sharpen in our Peckham workshop, as well as show you around the place and run through how knives are made. Food will come from Ronnie Murray who will serve 8 hour forge smoked lamb.
We make hand forged kitchen knives in a railway arch in Peckham. On this course we'll show you around the workshop and tell you a bit about the knife making process. Then we'll show you how to get a mega edge on any knife with a simple stone. You can bring your favourite knife with you, or we'll provide one for you.
Ronnie Murray, ex group head chef at HIX and exec chef at Peckham Manor will come along and provide great local food to hack at after everyone has sharpened their blades and appetites.

What a great set-up, learning how to sharpen knives from the people who actually make them. Also, above and beyond, my own treasured Japanese knife restored to usability (although I do now need to spend some time using my newly found skills to sharpen it). The smoked lamb brioche hit the spot!
