Join us for an explosion of flavours at our special feast with live African salsa dance. This is one for lovers of culture, new adventures, and friendships!
We will feast on sumptuous food inspired by fasting and feasting at Easter while being treated to stories of spring's harvest through sensual African salsa. Our long table feasts are a wonderful marriage of cuisines, inspired by my African upbringing.
In Africa we believe, we are all equal especially when we come together to share food around the same table.
Growing up, my mother always made a big ceremony out of preparing Easter Sunday and Monday feasts for the neighbours and for the children in nearby orphanages. I always admired her as she cooked jollof rice in large cauldrons on blazing fire wood. This is the traditional way of cooking and the most efficient way she could cook large amounts, resulting in the most delicious smoked rice that has forever bewitched my senses.
Eulanda Shead Osagiede, my dear friend who is an experienced dancer, an expert in travel, food tourism and migration and half of husband & wife duo behind award winning blog - Hey Dip Your Toes In has created a beautiful dance piece celebrating the bountiful harvest and igniting rich african influence in food and music.
With vegans and vegetarians in the family, the menu is a feast for all. I look forward to sharing this adventure with you all and creating new traditions through our shared love for great food.

Lorato was lovely. She made everyone feel comfortable. The recipe was very clearly explained. I don't use chilli much but was able to put just the right amount in, thanks to her explanations. My son popped in a few times to help. And we all lived the food. Really lovely.
