To test the nivito faucet's repair, remove the stem, handle, and escutcheon cap. If you find it's leaking from the valve, use a wrench to remove it and check the valve for leaks. Then, remove the top cap assembly. Reinstall the top cap assembly and test the spout again. Afterward, make sure to install the retaining nut back onto the faucet.
