Bio
Hello! I'm a school teacher and school leader from Lancashire, England. I travel with friends, partner and also solo. I love nothing more than relaxing with a good book, enjoying a glass of wine in a pretty spot or visiting places of natural or historic interest. I studied Art History at the University of Manchester and have a particular penchant for church art and architecture. I am a great believer in the power of cultural education. Cooking with local ingredients is a passion of mine and I keep a photographic record of the dishes I make or prepare. I enjoy giving guided tours of cultural spots around the British Isles and preparing travel itineraries for friends and family. I love languages and speak Spanish proficiently. However, I always try to get by with locals in their native tongue (and a vast array of hand gestures!). Fun fact: I've recently traced my family tree back to 1750 when my ancestors owned a farm in Surrey and on the other side, worked the land in Welsh mining villages... quite a contrast!
