Farm To Table Supperclub
Nestled in the Forest of Bowland, hidden in an old stone barn, Charlie and her team fed us an amazing farm to table feast. The evening was kicked off by a rhubarb and elderflower fizz served accompanied by live flamenco guitars with kale crisps and tempura squash flowers served up as canapés before we were shown to our table where we were dining al fresco beneath the stars. Our starter of beetroot and homemade ricotta curd was absolutely beautiful from both a taste and visual aspect and the homemade sourdough and fresh churned butter was exceptional. Charlie used Lonk Hogget (a local breed of sheep just over a year old) for the main course followed by a homemade plum ice-cream served with meringue and foraged fruits that was divine. The evening was rounded off by a spectacular fireworks display which lit up the sky for a nearby 21st birthday party. What made it all extra special was Charlie’s attention to detail, her passion for her food, her produce and her home, the location is breath taking and I would not hesitate to recommend future events.
