There will be nibbles! Maybe some crispy wontons of partridge or rabbit or even grouse, some charcuterie that kind of thing, then 4 courses....
Roasted squash and crab chowder, roasted chilli oil
Slow cooked marrow, sourdough herby breadcrumbs, best olive oil, curd cheese
Hayes Grange Beef, served 2 ways, wild mushrooms, rocket
Apple doughnuts, salt caramel parfait, crab apple sauce
Or... something like that that feels even better on the day!
