Join The Salt Box and Wild Sussex at Daylands Farm this bonfire season as we collaborate to bring you the best wild game our countryside has to offer.
Start the celebrations with an autumnal cocktail around the fire before sitting down together to enjoy a hearty five-course, wood-fired feast set beneath the stars. Ingredients are foraged, seasonal or wild and all are locally sourced from the very best of Sussex farmers and producers.
Rabbit, gin and lemon sausage rolls w/ bacon marmalade
Venison ragu, coal-baked potato gnocchi and pangrattato
Planked trout w/ chicory, fennel and orange salad
Pigeon saltimbocca w/ celeriac salad, pickled wild mushrooms, squash ketchup toasted hazelnuts
Spiced poached pears w/ amaretti crumble and vanilla mascarpone

About Wild Sussex
Working in conservation and woodland management, as well as supporting other coppice workers and makers using sustainable and ethical materials that keep traditional crafts alive.
About Daylands Farm
Daylands Farm is a rare find these days. A small, family run, mixed farm surrounded by woodland and teaming with wildlife on the Wiston Estate in West Sussex. The current tenants, Derek and his daughter Louise, have lived there for over 30 years and farm cows, sheep and pigs, as well as growing vegetables and flowers for local markets.

Doors open at 19:00, first course served at 19:30.
Enjoy an autumnal cocktail on arrival, as well as a five-course feast at £45 per person. Bring your own bar, water will be available on the tables.
As with all our supper clubs, you'll be seated with fellow diners on sharing tables. Don't worry, we'll make sure you're with all your pals, and you might even leave with some new ones! To encourage conviviality, several dishes are designed for sharing and will be put in the centre of your tables.
We will have limited capability to cater for dietary requirements without advance warning, so please ensure that any requirements are approved prior to purchasing a ticket to avoid disappointment. Please note that due to the nature of the event, vegetarian options will not be available.
This event takes place in the great outdoors. In the event of wet weather, a canopy will be set up. Please ensure to wrap up warm. Hot water bottles and blankets will also be available.

The whole event was amazing. I loved every minute. The hosts were fabulous. I had an amazing day. I have since made pasta at home and one of the sauces. Can't rate it high enough. I have told everyone to take a look.
