What a lovely experience Jim and Odile gave us last night learn more about them and the house. The food was amazing all courses were perfect the flavour of the ginger biscuit with the sweet vanilla panne cotta went lovely with sharp rhubarb. I’m going to try and replicate the nettle and wild garlic soup . The pork Saddle was second to none delicious 🤤

Absolutely fantastic evening paying homage to the hog. From the mulled cider to the end of the cheese board, every single ingredient in each dish was a treat to the palette and the eye also. Perfectly presented dishes by two fantastic hosts in a magnificent setting.

What a smashing evening, AGAIN. Little different this time,as it was just us two with the lovely hosts. The food was sublime. The sous vide Rare Breed Pork was just amazing. Right down to the Homemade After Dinner Mints. Can't wait for the next time. THANK YOU ODILE AND JIM. XXX

Jim and Odile are amazing hosts...have great stories to tell of their home, cook and present the most delicious food...the pressed ham and beef starter, the lamb Ragu, freshly made pappardelle, the ice cream (I'll be dreaming of that forever) and Roly poly...then there was the cheese board. Who knew homemade cheese was so delicious. Looking forward to returning. Those two are the fairy godparents of good food and company!

We are not folks who usually eat out as we are usually disappointed. This event, however ticked every box and changed our minds about this exciting way to enjoy good food. The home cooked food was incredibly imaginative, from the canapés on arrival (among them, mini beef filled Yorkshire puddings...wow!)to the incredible assiette of desserts. ( mini toffee apple to die for!) I could have dived head first into the suet crust rabbit pie....a taste of childhood. The amounts served were also just right. Knowing the local provenance of the main ingredients was also very satisfying. The icing on the whole cake came when our hosts Jim and Odile joined us during coffee. A local butcher, Jim was able to show off his knowledge and love of food, while Odile charmed us completely with her concern for our enjoyment.

The evening was a great success on many fronts. As I knew the hosts well already, it was actually nice to have them in the background for most of the evening allowing the guests to interact more freely with each other. The guests were all strangers to each other and from quite different backgrounds but like-minded and we were all relaxed and enjoyed each-others' company. The setting of Jim and Odile's 18th century house with its amazing history was perfect for the occassion. The food: It was a delight from the first selection of canapes and the welcome drink through each of the 3 courses. Every element was created from scratch using local, fresh, sustainable ingredients and presented beautifully. The star of the show for me was the suet pastry on the rabbit pie; divine. The attention to detail was wonderful with every plate matching. The teamwork of Jim in the kitchen and Odile front of house worked perfectly. Odile is a natural at it. Because they are both running their own businesses and are daily customer-facing, they were at ease with the guests and came across as confident and passionate. I think future supper clubs, with people that they do not know, will allow this side of their personalities to shine even more.

We enjoyed a superb evening combining great company, charming hosts, beautiful surroundings and exceptional food. Lincolnshire’s best food experience by a mile! Jim and Odile are natural hosts and the knowledge that everything was home made using local vegetables and meat from their own farm and butchery only added to the experience.
