John was very accommodating. It was a lovely setting, but felt too dark outside - more could have been done. Shame about the weather and that we could not have a bonfire - perhaps an alternative could have been offered? It felt a bit flat overall. The food was average at best - shame, given the pedigree of the chef.

We were welcomed with a drink and there was little waiting around before the food arrived. The meal was excellent and we enjoyed every morsel. Our fellow guests were chatty and Dhruv made a point of engaging every guest in friendly conversation afterwards. Everything was helped along be the sunshine (we were glad we took our sun hats though as there was no shade for the first half of the afternoon. All in all, it was a wonderful foodie experience and one we shall probably repeat in the future. Thank you!

Another convivial evening with our hosts and chef at our local WeFiFo venue. We enjoyed warming ourselves by the enormous bonfire and catching up with familiar faces met at many events. The food was wonderful - the marinated chicken starter and salad was so fresh and zingy, I could have eaten twice the amount! The main of lamb biryiani was tender and tasty, delicious with the rice, nan bread, potato and raita. A pudding of tarte tatin was a treat - lovely toffee and cinnamon flavours. We enjoyed meeting the folks on our table and everyone as always was friendly and fun. Dhruv's cooking is sublime - I cannot wait for the next event.

The whole event was brilliant, the food was the best Indian cuisine I have probably ever had! Jon, Sani and Dhurv were fantastic hosts/chefs, and I enjoyed having the chance to chat with them. Also the guys from Dark Star Brewery were great, as were their beers, especially the one off brew "Ruby Rose". Cannot wait to book our next event!
